What, the fact that he's playing an location meant for younger indie bands? Many older bands are doing this these days - Huey Lewis played Bowery last year - I'm not sure if it's to establish some hip cred, or maybe because it's an easier venue to book (rather than run the risk of not selling out the Beacon or something)...
